Terms of Use

By using Speakly Notes ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does

Speakly Notes lets you submit a link to a YouTube or Instagram video and receive an automatically generated text transcription, optionally translated into another language. Instagram transcription is free; YouTube transcription requires a one-time payment per account.

2. Your responsibility for the content you submit

You are solely responsible for the videos and links you submit to the Service. By submitting a link, you confirm that:

You have the legal right to access and use the content (e.g., it is your own content, publicly available content you are permitted to use, or you otherwise hold the necessary rights or permissions).
Your use of the transcribed or translated text will not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
The content does not violate the terms of service of YouTube, Instagram, or any other platform it was sourced from.

3. Prohibited uses

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any account found to violate these terms.

4. Accuracy of results

Transcription and translation are generated automatically using AI speech-recognition and translation technology. Results may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, especially with unclear audio, background noise, or uncommon languages/accents. The Service is provided "as is" without any guarantee of accuracy, and should not be relied upon for legal, medical, financial, or other decisions requiring verified accuracy.

5. Payments

YouTube transcription requires a one-time payment, processed securely via Stripe. Payment unlocks the feature permanently on your account.

Refund policy: all payments are final and non-refundable once the YouTube feature has been unlocked on your account. Please make sure you want to purchase before completing payment. If you experience a genuine technical issue preventing you from using the feature at all, contact speaklynotessupport@gmail.com and we will look into it on a case-by-case basis.

6. Accounts

You sign in using your email address via a secure login link (no password required). You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, as it controls access to your Speakly Notes account.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speakly Notes and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages resulting from inaccurate transcriptions, service interruptions, or third-party content you submit.

8. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update these Terms or modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. This does not deprive you, as a consumer, of any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the law of your country of residence.
